Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Shanghai

Our client is a leading technology, engineering soluti##被过滤## provider to the worldwide automotive industries. Opportunities become available now for a Mechanical Design Engineer based in Shanghai.

MAIN RESP##被过滤##IBILITIES:

•        Attend project review meetings
•        Resp##被过滤##ible for delivery of designs and release into customer systems, liaison with customer programme engineers and design groups, engine and vehicle build teams and suppliers
•        2D design drawing checking and approval
•        Lead design reviews
•        Report project issues to project team via email, telephone etc and present resp##被过滤##es to customer
•        Work with programme team to identify and develop soluti##被过滤## to technical and programme issues
•        Based in Shanghai, but prepared to be flexible in location depending on programme demands
•        Necessary training will be provided which may include periods in Europe or USA.
Qualificati##被过滤## Required:

1. BS in Mechanical Engineering, MSME is a plus with technical background in base engine and / or transmission design
2. At least 2 years experience of engine / transmission design, preferably with experience of European, US or Japanese products.
3. Proficient in English and Mandarin languages (written and spoken) for project and technical communication.
4. Literate in IT systems (MS Project, CAD systems (eg ProE / CATIA) and processes used for powertrain design and release activities.
5. Understanding of material standards and manufacturing and assembly processes in China.
