don't trust the housing advertisement!
i have been to that house before, definately i want to say that most of the rooms are really spacious, however, i doublt the price, maybe the reason why they choose 65 pounds, which is higher than other houses, is that they want to ean some money from the other tenants who see the advertisements and join them. Maybe the price that they got from the landlord is 55 or other. I have my reason to question it.
First, when i checked the house with them, they told me that the average price of a room is 65 pounds per week, and the day before yesterday my friend told me that he had seen another advertisement in Romero Hall which contained a price of 60 ponds per week. If they have taken that house, how can the price can be reduced??
Second, i used to asked them what the total rental price of the house, i can clearly remembered that i have asked them the same question for twice, however, they just told me the average price--65 pounds. It made me puzzled. If they really want to make others know that what we afford is really the avarage price of each room, why not show their contract with the landlord and calculate the average price in front of us?? We are all Chinese, and they are pre-sessional courses students, i think if they want to earn some money from other pre-sessional courses students in this way, they would be blamed for this! |
