据我所知，KCL由于各国工商界校友们和各界友好人士的捐助，财政状况较为良好，所以录取条件严格（e.g.其在美国的招生标准是GPA:at least 3.3 on 4.0 scale）,不象其他的学校，包括一些有名气的学校，只冲着钱来招生。所以能被KCL录取说明你的条件是优秀的.
我对KCL的喜爱是缘自我对它的了解。我跟美国几所很不错的州立大学教授均有联系，也收到他们叫我赴美研究的邀请，只是因为想转专业和签证的问题，我才狠下决心到英国读硕。我收到了Univ.of Edinburgh, Univ. of Warwcik,Univ.of Hull, KCL 的录取，因为那时我对英国的高校并不了解，于是分别以email向他们求教，结果他们说这几所学校都不错，但一致的建议我去KCL。他们觉得KCL、Edinburgh、Hull都有着不错的国际声誉，虽然不了解我所要转的专业，可总体上来说他们一致认为KCL是最好的。我也通过各种途径去多方面了解KCL，进一步证实了KCL是一所名副其实的世界名校！
希望我们都能顺利地完成在KCL的学习，为自己的前途打开一片新天地，日后也能为KCL的发展作出贡献！

Arthur Lucas writes about the advancement of the College's goals.

The way in which King's has developed gives me great confidence in the College's ability to innovate and to benefit from change, whilst retaining the values which make it unique. My vision is of a College which can rise to the challenges and opportunities of its third century. To achieve this vision we must direct our endeavours towards attracting and retaining the best people and providing resources worthy of them. Throughout its history King's has been strengthened by partnership and collaboration. Now we seek the support of alumni and friends and ask them to join us in securing our future.

King's has grasped the opportunities by changes in higher education in the last twenty years. Whilst in 1985 two-thirds of King's funding was derived from ***** grant, in 1999 this figure was less than a third. King's strength lies in its ability to enter into creative partnerships which are of mutual benefit.

King's was founded through benefaction, and during its history the College has benefited greatly from the generosity of its supporters. In 1998 the College received a donation of £6 million from the Wolfson Foundation to establish an important new centre for age-related diseases. In 1999 the Garfield Weston Foundation awarded the College £1 million towards the refurbishment of the Chancery Lane Library. In the last six years alumni and friends have given over £1,300,000 through annual donati[&&&&&@@@@@] to King's, which has already enabled us to support postgraduate scholarships and to fund projects throughout the College including the purchase of library stock and the provision of computer facilities in student halls of residence.

King's is very proud to be a leading university in the UK. Building on our strong foundati[&&&&&@@@@@] and with the help of our friends and partners, we will continue our pursuit of excellence in the advancement of knowledge learning and understanding in the service of society.
