Seven Reasons for Not Flying with Emirates Airlines

You might have dozens of reasons to fly with Emirates Airlines, but I have seven not to fly with them!

1. Discrimination
Today, it's discrimination against age. Tomorrow it could be discrinimation against gender, race, or whatever coming across their mind!

2. Trapping Online Booking
They make discriminative terms, but they do not make it obvious in the online booking system. If you are trapped in, you are bound to more expensive fares or to a fine of CNY1,000 for cancellation, or both!

3. Arrogance  
Everything is at their discretion. If they want to reject you, they reject you, without a convincing explanation or written document provided.

4. Robbery
They told you to pay CNY800 fare difference. When they had things fixed and told you to actually pay, they asked for CNY1,290. It's just one example. Things keep changing at their discretion.

5.  Irresponsiveness
It takes them one month time to respond and settle a complaint.

6. Unfair Dealing
While it takes them one month time to deal with a complaint, they request you to pay fare different in one day, or your seat will not be kept!

7. Lack of Professionalism
They ask you for credit card information, every bit of it including card #, expiry date, security code and mailing address, or you will NOT able to keep the seat! Fortunately I was able to suspend my credit card right after!

If I had not been in a situation where I have to arrive in UK in a couple of weeks, I will certainly bring them in a lawsuit! Now I have to leverage this community to alert my peer students what you might come across when you fly with Emirates Airline. You may have not run into such frustrating issues yet.
