Before we all get too stressed by revision for the exams, thought I'd take this opportunity to share a poem with you. Robert Louis Stephenson wrote it over 150 years ago and I find it still has meaning - maybe those bastards at Enron would have done well to have c##被过滤##idered it's precepts
"To have lived well, laughed often and loved much;
To have gained the respect of intelligent man and the love of children;
To have filled a niche and accomplished a task;
To have left the world better by an improved poppy, a perfect poem or a rescued soul;
To have appreciated earth's beauty and not failed to express it;
To have looked for the best in others;
And to have given the best of yourself;
That is achievement."
