我要去York的Language learning and education 专业，不知道现在需要看一些什么书？教育系的作业多吗？是不是都是以essay的形式，主要的内容是不是还涉及到语言学？谢谢给各位先辈了！

Assignments... Many Many Assignments... But most of them are comparatively easy. So don't worry.

Final dissertation is 10,000 words, which is quite short.

Topics are various, most of which may be involved with linguistics and education. It depends on what you would like to choose.
