Have been running XP Professional for 1 yr with a
Mindspring connect to one USB and the other USB unused.  
With no changes to the hardware, software, or setting, I
started getting "ower Surge on Hub Port"  (A USB device
has exceeded the power limits of its hub port) error
message.  Have disconnected the Mindspring and rebooted
several times.  The error message pops up frequently
either those I have selected "Reset" and "Close" in the
message box.  
How do I correct this??

I have got the same problem as well, When i view the device
manager while dealing with that situation, the card
appears as an "Unknown USB Device."  I have reinstalled
the drivers but that hasn't fixed it.don't no how to fix it,
help us!!!!!!!!!!!!!

反正就是USB接口的问题，当你差进去的时候，窗口就是显示了那个东西，

friday,不是我不想留言，这两天论坛不太稳定，发了好几次可帖不上去啦。
其实我也没什么特殊的方法。
1。设备管理器上DISABLE和 ENABLE一下。
2。 用USB口的HUB？我还真没见过这个我不太明白，也不知道是不是那个东西。你最好换个设备，如果还是同样的毛病就看第三步。
3。如果你有类似U盘USB口的延长线，用那个试试。
4。一年的系统也该做了，如果其他的方法都不好用的话，重做一下试试。

難道一年后系統就會有問題麽？
爲什麽說一年的系統就應該重裝呢？

这个嘛，到不一定按时间计算地。如果装的软件多了，系统运行的效率自然会下降，发生的冲突也自然会多起来。所以重装比较好。
设备管理起的名字大概叫DEVICE MANAGEMENT

CONTROL panel -------->system------->hardware----->DEVICE   MANAGEMENT

找到USB接口的图标，点右键 ，然后DISABLE， 之后再ENABLE

就是USB HUB,可以从一个USB口接出来,USB HUB里有俩个USB口,如果你的电脑里的USB口不够用,就用这个
