Alternative entry routes to the university

Plymouth Devon International College (PDIC) offers alternative entry routes into the University of Plymouth’s undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. PDIC’s unique approach to education transforms international students into University of Plymouth graduates and lifelong learners. From application through to enrolment, orientation, teaching, assessment and final progression to the University of Plymouth, you’ll receive a ‘first class’ service. Innovative education programmes are delivered by our highly qualified teachers in a modern and dynamic environment, supported by our administrative team who will provide you with every opportunity to succeed. The first PDIC intake will be the 15th of October 2009.

Foundation and first year (equivalent) degrees
PDIC works in synchronisation with the University of Plymouth in the development and implementation of foundation degrees and first year (equivalent) degrees. These courses are tailor made towards students who have international qualificati##被过滤## that may not be applicable for direct entry to the university. Once international students complete the PDIC proportion of their studies they will progress directly into year 2 at the University of Plymouth.

International students who successfully complete their studies with PDIC will be offered an unconditional offer of entry to the University of Plymouth. There will be no need for students undertaking a foundation programme or first year degree (equivalent) at PDIC to re apply for a Visa when progressing to the university.  PDIC will be offering the following pathway courses:

International Foundation Business Law Engineering Life Sciences Computing Biomedical Science Sciences Tourism and Hospitality

1st Year Degree (equivalent) Business Tourism and Hospitality Engineering Biological Sciences Biomedical Sciences Economics Accounting and Finance Marine Biology & Ocean Sciences Computing Maritime Business Marketing

In addition to this PDIC will also be facilitating English language programmes commencing in October 2009.

Location
PDIC is situated within the University of Plymouth campus and students enrolled in the college will receive access to all of the university’s facilities. PDIC also offers students excellent academic and social support in their studies and integration into the UK.
