Dear Lemon,
Thank you for your intrerest in IBM.
Please note, that IBM accepts the Tier 1 (general) system allows to live
and work in the UK for a period of 3 years, or dependand visas and resident
permits and HSMP.
IBM should not accept Tier 1 (post study work) work permit nor the
"professional work visa for Scotland" .
This is because it is for a 2 year period only and it is not a definite
that they will be able to convert it to a Tier 1 (general) or a Tier 2
(sp##被过滤##ored skilled worker) just because they are employed with us. They
would still have to satisfy a points criteria to convert and just the fact
that they have a graduate job at IBM is not sufficient.
Therefore, to confirm we will only accept the Tier 1 (general) work permit
(equivalent to the old HSMP system)
Bout Tier 1 after 3 years they must apply for an extension. The extension
does not seem very difficult providing they have no recourse to public
funds and have registered with the police, so it seems that graduates would
have little problem having it extended after the 3 years, so we should
accept it as we did the HSMP visa; and, as with the HSMP, candidates would
need to have already obtained it before they apply.
Thank you for your help.
Kind Regards,
IBM Graduate
