University of Leeds NEW Postgraduate Entry Scheme with Shanghai University Special Fee Scholarship The University of Leeds is offering an entry route to selected postgraduate programmes in collaboration with Shanghai University. Applicants who meet the entry requirements, who are accepted, and who successfully undertake a pre-Masters programme, will pay 10% less than the normal tuition fee for a one-year Masters (up to a maximum bursary of 1000 GBP). Entry requirements for this scheme: You must: • have taken an IELTS examination before the end of April 2005 and achieved a minimum overall score of 5.5 (for postgraduate programmes which normally require 6.0), 6.0 (for programmes which normally require 6.5) or 6.5 (for programme which normally require 7.0) • be able to show a grade point average of 80% for your final year of studies (although we may c##被过滤##ider, without guarantee of acceptance, scores above 75%.) The University of Leeds may accept applicati##被过滤## from students graduating from high-ranking universities other than Shanghai University. • already have sufficient funds to cover tuition fees and living expenses in the UK for the duration of your stay • fulfil any other requirements associated with specific programmes of study (such as an appropriate field of undergraduate study) • If you are accepted for this scheme, you must take part in a pre-Masters programme c##被过滤##isting of: • A 10-week Leeds University Language Centre programme at Shanghai University, starting 13 June 2005, with a director of studies from Leeds University for which Shanghai University will charge an agreed fee • A free 2-week programme in English Language for academic purposes, study skills, and orientation to life and study at the University of Leeds Language Centre (No tuition fee but you must fund all other costs) Look at http://www.leeds.ac.uk to discover more about the University of Leeds.
