选择学校求助啊！计算机科学(Computer Science)如何选学校

我现在已拿到
Kent， Newcastle ，Birmingham， Queen Mary 的 MSc in Computer Science 的 Conditional Offer
和 Leicester的 advanced software engineering Msc
Conditions：
Kent:
Achieve an overall minimum grade of 85% in your degree
IELTS 6.0 Including 5.5 in all components
Leicester
Obtaining your degree with a minimum grade of 75% overall and providing a copy of your degree certificate
and final transcript.
Obtaining a minimum 6.0 IELTS or 80 on the TOEFL Internet based test or successful completion of the
University of Leicester Pre-sessional English Language course D or E.
Newcastle
Award of your Bachelor degree with an overall grade of 80%.
Receipt of certified evidence of the award of your Bachelor degree, this must
include the full title and overall score achieved. These must be originals or
stamped copies.
Receipt of a final transcript showing the overall grades achieved
Achieving an IELTS score of 6.5, or equivalent English Language
qualification, with no sub-section below 5.5 ,or successful completion of the
appropriate INTO Newcastle English Language pre-sessional programme
Birmingham
Please provide an original certificate giving evidence of proficiency in the English Language. For this programme we require 6.0 IELTS with no less than 5.5 in any band, or TOEFL IBT score of 87 overall (with no less than 21 in listening, 22 in reading, 23 in speaking and 21 in writing), which should be no more than two years old at the time of admission. 1、从学校排名（包括综合和专业排名）和知名度方面考虑Birmingham应为首选。
2、Computer Science中涉及很多的专业方向，各个学校这个专业的课程设置有很大的不同，看看哪个学校的课程你更感兴趣，然后综合排名情况再做选择。
3、Kent虽然综合排名及专业排名（RAE)都不高，但其计算机学院还是很有实力的，该院2012年共有11个授课型硕士专业(不知道LZ具体申请了哪一个专业）,学院还有两名ACM杰出科学家。2012年新开设的MSc Future Computing这个专业也是非常不错的，其中Cloud Computing、Natural Computation和Green Computing这些课程都是比较前沿的。因此，假如LZ不太在意排名，Kent也是可以考虑的，特别是将来如果打算继续读PhD，那这个学校研究方向和导师的选择面是非常广的。

除了Leicester申请的是advanced software engineering以外，其他的申请的都是computer science
是taught course，而且是conversion course， 我在国内是读市场营销，我不想再做销售之类的工作，所以…………我个人目前偏向Leicester，Leicester整体排名要比Birmingham好，相反，计算机专业这一块，Leicester的排名还不及Birmingham， 很为难啊。。就课程而言，Leicester的这个专业有MSc with industry,就是industry placement（http://www2.le.ac.uk/study/postg ... terscience/software），这样感觉对就业比较有用。kent的话，我正奇怪为什么要求这么高，我平均分达不到85%，现在才明白是这么回事。。总之，我还是很纠结，想再听听你的意见。。

Times排名仅对本科选校有一定的参考作用（水分太大，有误导之嫌），读研究生一定要参考RAE研究排名（见下表），从多个世界大学排行榜中可以看出，你列出的这几所学校，唯有Birmingham都位列全球TOP100之内，其他如Leicester、Newcastle等都排在Birmingham之后，且Birmingham在国内有相当高的知名度，从地域方面考虑，Birmingham地处英格兰中部，是英国第三大城市，地理和人文环境都相当不错，因此，我仍然建议你选择Birmingham。
