Dear members,
This is the third email I sent out in a row for inviting alumni volunteers.
Many of you may recall that we produced a calendar for Year 2005 featuring 12 alumni members. The calendar showcased the UK education through the alumni angle and was well received by exhibition visitors last Oct. Each alumni member at that time also got one.
Based on the success of the alumni calendar 2005, we are going to cooperate with VisitBritain (www.VisitBritain.com) to produce the calendar 2006. The initiative of involving VisitBritain roots in the ancient Chinese proverb: 读万卷书，行万里路 – A true scholar balances his studio learning and outdoor practices. I think most of you will agree with me on the point that the study experience in the UK has not only improved you academically but also broadened your horizon ever since.
The major elements of the calendar this year will be:
- UK landscape pictures provided by VisitBritain
- ersonName w:st="on">AlumniersonName> images and quotes
We hereby invite 12 of you to join this year’s calendar project. We will invite professional photographer to take photos of the selected alumni for calendar images.
Applicants have to submit the following documents by Sep 7th:
- your own interpretation towards “读万卷书，行万里路” based on the UK study experience with the wording of less than 150 Chinese characters in the attached form
- the signed Authorization Letter which is also attached (fax to 63912121)
- one digital photo with your image
The time table for the project is as follows. Please make sure that applicants should be available esp. from Sep 12-14 and 17-18.

Sep 12-14 Selected alumni meet with the photographer in the evening (exact date TBC)
Sep 17-18 Photo-taking
