请教--工作签证与英语语言能力证明

请教两个问题：
1。我申请的glasgow大学的博后，合同已经签了。work permit正在办。我想和妻子、孩子一起签，能够节省时间，也不需要跑两趟重庆。但high版主建议最好分开签。说得我都有些担心了。不知道一起签被拒签的可能性高吗? 希望听听大家的意见。（这个问题已经问过了，但没有得到回复。抱歉再次打扰大家）
2。由于博后申请没有托福、雅思之类成绩的要求。我也没参加过这些考试。不知这会不会对我的签证有影响。我准备用我的四级成绩、发表的英文文章、通过英语面试来作为我的英语语言能力证明。不知大家认为我这样是否可以？

re: 2. 发表的英文文章、通过英语面试来作为我的英语语言能力证明 -- sure, it's not a bad idea, after all you are probably too busy to take any tests at this stage ( it's a great excuse too ). Don't deliberately bring up the fact that you don't have TOFEL or IELTS unless you are specifically asked by the visa officer, in which case you can then explain that you've dem##被过滤##trated your english ability through various published articles and passing the interviews etc.
