过年那天网申的，昨天收到邮件，一开始还以为是个SWANSEA的学校文化获奖宣传啥的，所以没仔细看，今天又看了眼，发现了这么一句We are delighted to have offered you a place and look forward to welcoming you to Swansea. 难道这就是OFFER啊？我没雅思成绩申请的，怎么什么条件都没开给我啊?邮件还附带着奖学金申请表格。我申请的是海商法，我下一步该做什么呢？。全文如下，
我都怀疑这是骗子邮件。。。。

International Colloquium on the New Uses of the Sea
In September 2010, the Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law (IISTL) staged an innovative Colloquium programme on the Law of the Sea.The Colloquium attracted key contributors both from the profession and academia.
6th European Colloquium on Maritime Law Research on the Rotterdam Rules
In May 2010, the IISTL in collaboration with the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law (University of Oslo, Norway), hosted the Sixth European Colloquium on Maritime Law Research. The theme of the Sixth Colloquium addressed one of the most important issues in modern shipping law, namely the the legal, economic, environmental, insurance and commercial implications of the law of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Carriage of Goods Wholly or Partly by Sea (known as the Rotterdam Rules). The event provided a welcome opportunity for leading academics and specialists from universities and institutions throughout Europe to debate a series of key aspects concerning the operation of the Rotterdam Rules.
Recent Academic Appointments
In the last few years, 10 academics have joined Swansea Law School further strengthening the School’s academic standing and endorsing its status as a centre of excellence in research: Professor Andrew Halpin (joined from the University of Southampton); Professor Dennis Patterson (Rutgers University School of Law, New Jersey, USA); Professor Mark Stallworthy joined from the University of East Anglia); Professor Andrew Tettenborn (joined from the University of Exeter); Professor Karen Morrow (joined from the University of Leeds); Professor Volker Röben (joined from Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, University of Heidelberg); Ms Jill Morgan (joined from the University of East Anglia); Dr. Stuart McDonald (joined from the University of Southampton), Dr Theodora Nikaki (joined from the University of Southampton) and Mr Richard Caddell (joined from the University of Wales Bangor).
New LL.M. in International Business Law for September 2011The Law School is delighted to announce the introduction of new Masters Programme in International Business Law. Whereas our existing Programme in International Commercial Law places an emphasis on trade and broader commercial responsibilities our new offering will be focused on the practical difficulties experienced by international business. The new Programme, whilst offering a broad spectrum of International Business Law modules also allows for specialisation in new and dynamic issues such as the law relating to the intangible assets of the business such as trademarks, patents and copyright. The Programme will not only have appeal to the aspiring practising lawyer looking for a high level career in an international law firm or multinational company but also for legal advisers to small/medium sized enterprises. Applicants will require a good undergraduate degree either in law or a closely related discipline.
The introduction of this new and innovative LLM degree is yet another indication of the depth of expertise that is available within the School of Law. Swansea Law School is one of the largest providers of specialised LLM programmes in the realm of international maritime, trade, commercial and business law

Professional Courses Delivered by the Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law
The Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law continues to serve the training needs of BIMCO (World’s largest organisation representing shipowners), BP and a consortium of City Law firms. The Institute acts in collaboration with BIMCO in providing tailored masterclasses and summer schools. The Institute provides in-house training to BP on carriage of goods by sea. In addition, in 2005 the Institute was awarded a contract to provide training courses in the realm of carriage of goods by sea and marine insurance for young solicitor trainees employed by a consortium of City Law firms.

Last but not least, I would like to bring your attention the possibility of getting financial support to assist you in funding your taught master studies. This year, the International Development Office, is offering several scholarships for full-time overseas students. The scholarships are competitive and will be based on academic merit. Your scholarship application would need to be supported by the School. It is vital, therefore, that register an interest by sending us a letter indicating why you wish to be considered for a scholarship. It is vital that you enclose copies of your diploma(s) or academic transcript(s). Please do not write more than one page (A4). Also do not use a font size smaller than 12. You will hear from the School in due course whether the School is willing to support your application or not. Please remember that the ultimate decision lies with the International Office and the School’s role in the process is advisory only. If you would like to be considered for the scholarships please send an e-mail to Mr Rui Zheng at llm@swansea.ac.uk by 15 June 2011 with the necessary documents. Please note that International Office's scholarship funds are limited and that application does not guarantee an award even though it is supported by the School.
