Job Description:
Plans, follows up, manages and controls purchasing activities focusing on project purchasing costs. He/ she is contributing to the Procurement & Sourcing Department (PSD).
1. Builds the cost improvement plan after communicating with Business Departments, sourcing teams and analysing the data
2. Updates the actual cost implement status, monitors, controls and manages the purchasing activities together with the sourcing and contracting team
3. Early involves into Business Department’s tendering activities and provides sufficient and efficient support accordingly
4. Plays a key role during the whole project life-cycle by supporting project teams on purchasing and managing the project purchasing costs (e. g. implements and manages the defined cost improvement plan and applies the purchasing strategy)
5. Interfaces with Business Departments, makes the communication between Business Departments and Purchasing & Sourcing Department smooth and efficient, supports Business Departments for all related purchasing activities
6. Plays a role as a Project Manager within Procurement & Sourcing department internally for key projects to achieve the purchasing target
Candidate Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree or above in Economics/ Trade/ Management and related or IT and related engineering fields
2. At least 5 years of experience in IT-engineering and/or purchasing/ tendering (project management experience required; experience in a matrix-structure or cross-function/ department preferred)
