To obtain the "endorsement" for you as "Family member of an EEA national" (as the UK is a member of EEA) you have to submit form EEA2 to the UK Border Agency.
You can apply to the Border Agency for an endorsement to your UK Residency Permit,and the application for endorsement takes 6 months to complete.
