To our British friends...We are Chinese students in Southampton University. We listen to your music. We watch your TV programs. We pay you the ##被过滤##ing money. But our basic rights even security could not be guaranteed. One of us was injured by teenagers in the campus. Some students were robbed by your kids on the way home. Please respect yourself if you regard yourself as civilized people.
From now on, we refuse to pay the tuition fees for this semester. We will keep on doing something else - no matter positive or negative but within the law - until our rights are guaranteed.

i understand your feeling, and i have met the same before by myself. but sit down and have a think. those people are not nice to you, beside their own problems what else? do we have some problems ourselves? i am not saying you. but think about it. i have been in england for 4 years. i have seen a lot of chinese people doing something wrong with my own eyes. do not they know that is wrong? sure they do. i know people do make mistakes. but i am quite sure that is intended. this is a country with freedom. have a think about the life in China, do your safety got guaranteed? i think that is only becouse you did not meet. to slove the problem we need to do from ourselves.作者: melody2 时间: 2004-4-10 09:39
