谁对金融数学了解多啊？？
拿不定学=金融经济好呢还是金融数学好

终於遇到一位前辈了！！！

前辈！投资是我学习结束以后想作得东西，也是我一开始的方向。可是本科没有读成((都是READING，要我7分得IELTS和FOUNDATION的DISTINCTION，更因为一时紧张，竟然选择放弃))所以我下决心，研究生无论如何要读投资。
现在问题是，我要么学金融数学，要么学金融经济。那么哪一个与我研究生以后，也就是与投资，银行专业比较接近阿？

还有就是学投资是不是需要很高的统计学技巧？
问题很多。先问这一个了。

不知道前辈可否帮我看看我学校的金融数学的课程。说实话。我看了N遍，感觉怎么那么多的微积分？统计仅仅是在大1 的时候有，好像还是选学。。

不知前辈本科在哪里就读，申请durham对原来的学校要求很高吗？
我现在就读的大学并不是全国的名牌大学，只能算是省属重点，能申请到像durham这样的大学吗？

多谢前辈的鼓励，一般本科成绩的要求是多少呢，我的专业成绩都在90以上，但其他像马哲，邓论之类的课有些只有70多分，这样影响大吗？
还有像推荐信的作用是不是很大？什么时候申请比较好？

谢谢前辈指点，请问金融硕士的课程对数学的要求是不是很高，我的微积分，概率，统计都还可以，可我听说有些金融课程还涉及计算机之类的知识，好象对数理能力要求很高。我现在是国际经济与贸易专业，我们有一些金融方面的课程，我很感兴趣。只是我对英国金融课程的要求不太清楚

数学大致在什么难度，和大学里学的高数、概率相比如何？
（我的数学总的来说还不错，可我总是不太有自信）

很难讲两者在难度上的差别. 如果仅就全科通过人数来看，cfa少很多，当然这和它历史短有关系.

期权，期货和其他衍生产品----我买了英文原版和中文翻译版对照看呢，应该对英文提高有好处的（强烈推荐这个，这本书被誉为华而街的Bible）

说实话，真的有点难啊！虽然我数学背景很不错，可毕竟没有怎么接触过金融方面的，真是数学和金融完全融合，恐怖啊！！

数学分析、高等代数、概率论与数理统计、数学模型、微分方程

属于纯数学的

数学模型、微分方程、运筹学、最优控制、博弈论、精算数学、保险学原理、利息理论、投资分析、金融衍生证券、计算机语言、应用软件等。

属于应用数学

金融数学主干课程是概率统计和随机分析，所以学好这个很重要的

博弈论the game thoery，是从游戏中得到的理论啊，但很有用的，他其中的理论还可以用在改善复习关系呢！很好的理论，可惜发明者研究出来就疯了，但博弈论确实在那个行业都很有用！

金融衍生证券derivative：现在在美国纽约和英国伦敦的超级大公司都奇缺这方面的人才，这恰恰是金融数学的主修课程。这就是为什么我建议你买期权，期货和其他衍生产品（option，future，derivative这是英文原版的名字，这本书被称为华而街的Bible，可想而知他是多么权威了吧！而且是这个专业的老师建议我读的！）

对应用数学的那写专业一时说不请，只能漫漫给你讲！

就想C++的权威找侯捷的书准没错的，Hull的书在金融界同样是权威

I am wondering what is the difference between ACTURISTS and CFA ? As I know both dealing with Mathematics, Statistics, Rish management , Fiancial Derivatives and Portfolio Management etc.

I have finished my BSc. in Banking and Fiance under UOL program this year and expecting for my final results right now . I wish to pursure my Master degree of Acturial Science at LSE. I understand once I finish the course, I will be able to sit for the Acturist examination. However, I don't know whether I am able to take CFA exam to become a CFA?

我IELTS刚考了6分，在学校的平均成绩刚刚73多，是不是想申请好一些的有金融数学专业的学校没有什么可能了呢？

关于小弟所知的金融工程与金融数学的关系，在金融工程的国际行会的网址上，FAQ有仔细的说明之间的关系。
照我解读下来，这二专业在本质区别不大，FAQ上讲，几乎是没有分别，只是名称不同罢了。

There are many names I have heard besides financial engineering, such as financial mathematics, mathematical finance and computational finance. What differences, if any, are there between these names?

The differences in names are mainly cosmetic, reflecting to a large degree differences in the organizati##被过滤## sp##被过滤##oring the names. The name financial mathematics is relatively new and seems to have arisen from mathematics departments that have sp##被过滤##ored programs in areas relating to financial engineering. The name financial engineering is older ?for example, the IAFE was founded in 1992. In this FAQ we will use the names financial engineering, financial mathematics and mathematical finance synonymously.

The 2002 Survey put forth the question 揥hat is the name you prefer for the field??with choices including financial engineering, financial mathematics and mathematical finance; 48% of students stated a preference for financial Engineering, while together financial mathematics and mathematical finance garnered 35% of the votes.

What is the benefit of pursuing a degree in financial mathematics?
